My video includes some photos of older people do these physical exercises and one photo dedicated to a special person, my mother. She was the winner in the last challenge. Undoubtedly technology has impacted not only our lifestyles but also the way we do business. In this book, the author explains step by step how to use all ways of creating an online presence for your business all for no cost.

Step 1. The free web tools
In this step, the author explains how free listings like Google listings, Microsoft Bing and Yahoo! can be a great way to star establishing an online presence for your business. Social media tools and blogging are a good way of getting online for free and they can be a good option for small business that don not have their own website.

Step 2. The name
In this step, the author explains the importance of a name when you decide to get your small business online and choose the domain name.

Step 3. The technology
In this step, the author explains how to choose a hosting company and considerations that need to be taken in order to select a platform or software in which our business runs on. He contrasts and compares between proprietary platforms like Blogger and open source software like Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal and encourage to readers to choose the best according to the business’s needs.

Step 4. The look
In this step, the author suggests that small business use online templates to reflect their business. The majority of them are free and provide a guide about what information your business needs to be published to catch the customers’ attention.

He not only explains how to create a Google Adwords account to advertise your business but also invites to use Facebook and Linked like the most obvious places to advertise on the web. He explains how to use the Google Analytics tool to track visitors, how long they have stayed on your site and the number of pages they have opened. There are some programs like Alexa and Compete that allow comparing your website with other sites and Google Optimizer that allows the website owner to see what attracts the most attention.

Step 6. Creating fans and customers
In this step, he emphasizes the importance of media channels and said that Linked has become the online CV for professionals and an important human resources tool; Twitter is dominated by the 30-50 year age group; and Facebook’s fastest growing user group is grandparents. Eat healthy - Zumba lifestyle

Now that you have an idea about Zumba dance and its benefits, I would like to share with you some of my recipes that are a part of my nutrition plan. This plan was recommended by my Zumba's instructor, she is from Mexico and you could see that some ingredients have Mexican's flavors.  I included a slideshow that contains pictures of five meals that be eaten in a day.

There is only a couple of additional tips worth caring about:

  • Drink plenty of water each day and
  • Keep junk food to a minimum.

Remember, your nutrition plan is equally as important as your workout routine.

Is Zumba for Me?

Afew minutes ago, I finished my Zumba class and I worked up a sweat and had a blast doing it. While I was driving to my house, I thought if Zumba is just for me and I have some reasons to adopt it as my regular exercise routine:

1. One of the most common complaints about working out is that it's boring. Zumba incorporates moves from a variety of dance styles. But Zumba is more than just a good time. It also incorporates fitness interval training and resistance training to promote fat burning and total body toning.

2.  Zumba classes allow me to reach my ideal weight and stay healthy. It  improves my mood and decress my stress.

3. It is a family therapy. Some afternoonswhen the latin music sounds, my entire family dances and spent a lot of time together.

If traditional workout routines bore you, maybe you should give Zumba a try. Its moves are easy to master, even if you've never danced before. And it provides a workout that rivals most machines at the gym. So instead of slaving away on the treadmill or stationery bike, try dancing those unwanted pounds away!

This video contains the first steps of Zumba to beginners. It includes the steps to dance cumbia, salsa, belly dance and more. I hope that you enjoy it and motivate you. TRY IT!

Healthy Benefits of Zumba

Zumba is considered a fitness program. It is a great alternative to traditional fitness program and whether you practice alone or take a class in group you could see the following benefits:

Cardiovascular health - Zumba increases the strength of your heart because it uses songs that play around 145 beats per minute and set you on the path to true aerobic exercise.

Burn calories and weight lost - It has been shown that an hour of Zumba burns between 300 to 1000 calories.

Full body workout - In a Zumba class all the muscles and bones of your body from head to toe will move and if you practice three or five times a week not only it improves your coordination and posture but also increases your confidence.

Stress release - Zumba is considered a mental exercise that releases you of inhibitions.

It is a social activity - Some people go to Zumba class for therapy and a Zumba class is a great way to meet new people. You can bring your friends to the party.

It makes people happy - Burning calories releases endorphin that makes people feel in good mood.

What is Zumba and what you need to take a class?

Zumba is a cardiovascular workout that uses a combination of latin music like merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip-hop, mambo, flamenco, calypso an some belly dancing. The amazing thing about Zumba is that women and men that practice it lose between 500 and 1000 calories while they are having fun.

Zumba was founded in 1990’s by Alberto “Beto” Perez, a Colombian aerobics instructor. He needed to improvise his aerobics class using a couple of cds with latin music because he forgot the aerobic music tape. Zumba classes are now offered in 125 countries, 110000 locations and more than 12 million people take classes around the world.

Zumba is a secure workout and it can be practiced by people of all ages from children to adults. There are eight different classes: Zumba Gold is a program designed for older population. Zumba Toning, a class designed to strength abs, thighs and arms . Aqua Zumba is a Zumba class in a swimming pool. Zumba the circuit. Zumbatomic a special class designed for children from 4 to 12 years old. Zumba Gold Tonning a class designed to strength the muscles in older people. Zumba Zentao is a workout chair that used the body weight to tone the body.

All you need to practice Zumba is a pair of cross-trainer shoes, water, and plenty wish to have fun. In my next post I will provide information about Zumba classes in Las Vegas

Motivation, Goal Setting, Partnering and Zumba

Eight months ago, I was trying to establish a balance in my busy life. I was always tired, frustrated and in a bad mood. In the morning, I am a bookkeeper in a chain of supermarkets, in the afternoon, I was teaching computer classes for adults in a special program in Las Vegas Urban League; all of this while I was taking three classes at CSN. One of my nieces informed me about a new place that was teaching Zumba classes. My mom and I attended and we both found a new way to relieve stress, lose weight and stay healthy. We have been doing Zumba for several months now. The combination of physical exercises that makes your body move to the contagious rhythms of merengue, salsa, cumbia and reguetoon has helped us lose twelve pounds, two sizes and it keeps me highly motivated and happy. What about you? Do you have a plan to get fit?
